THIS SUNDAY IM COLLABING WITH DIGBETH DINING CLUB : RETRO BURGERS

A battle to find the UK’s best burger is being launched in Birmingham.
The man behind this year’s pop-up phenomenon, Rib Nights , is tweaking his recipe to create UK Burger Battle, a new monthly cook-off testing the best burgers in the land.
Launching on Sunday, December 14, each instalment will see diners compare burgers from two different teams before voting for their favourite.

The monthly UK Burger Battle will be held at Spotlight, the home of Digbeth Dining Club

Battle boss Ahmed Kage is adapting his successful Rib Nights formula for the burger event at Spotlight, the home of Digbeth Dining Club .
He said: “Burgers have always been popular, either as a quick bite to eat or as a main meal, but the recent resurgence has come about because we’re suddenly seeing really high quality products.
“There are teams that are dry-aging beef for longer than the standard 21 days and using interesting ingredients from black pudding to ox cheeks.
“They’re also using their own freshly made buns and cheese, making top quality food.”
Taking a less formal approach than Rib Nights, each ticket buys two burgers and a drink between 4 and 8pm before the votes are counted and the winner announced.
Diners can expect retro games, a close hand magician and DJs.

Kicking off the series, Herefordshire outfit The Beefy Boys will take on Warwickshire’s The Flying Cows .
The Flying Cows from Rugby launched three years ago, using beef from pedigree grass-fed Dexter cattle on frontman and professional chef Dan Bachelor’s family farm.
The Beefy Boys started after pictures of their own garden barbecue food went viral on Facebook.
This year they won the title of Best Burger at the UK’s top barbecue competition, Grillstock , and are now competing against 50 others for the title of World’s Best Burger and $10,000 at the World Food Championships in Las Vegas .

This weekend digbeth is the place to be, some great event happening throughout and we bring you - City of Colours - Winter Showcase 10am - 6pm filled with mulled wine and mince pies, shed loads of independant traders along with a fine selection of local artists, screen printing workshops from our friends over substr8, spoken word from the guys over Beatfreeks , Retro Gaming .... all this and so much more & not forgetting...

City of Colours - Graffwarz! Graffiti Battle - starts at 1pm - yes, it gives me great pleasure to announce Round. 1 of the Graffiti Battles.

2 crews - 1 Subway Train! - Paint will spill ....

On the one side of the the sub we have the FKS crew with artists - hoakser.com and Zooki Twc Fks and holding down the other side of the sub is the TLA crew!! with artists - AsOne Arts along with his boy Ments ....

This is set to be one hell of a battle - FKS VS TLA !! 4 incredible graffiti artists battle it out for a place in the semi finals which will take place next year along with the final taking place at the City of Colours 2015!! Jam Hott dj's will be bringing you the vibes throughout and all will be powered by the mighty Creative Hertz Sound System along with a special guest host for the battles.

The battle will consist of 3 judges along with a crowd vote that will take place at the end of the battle SO MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!
